In Part 2, I would like to show more on the people and animals i met during the field trip.
There are a lots of animals that you rarely see in the village~
And animals here are allowed to walk freely in the village.
Introducing the CUTE goat!!!
I seldom saw goat before!
P/s: except those goat milk seller who bring their little goat to Pasar malam to attract customer.
There are a lots of goat walking here and there freely in the village..
They are just like cats or dogs in the city...
I feel really excited looking at them~
Love to make "Mek~~~~~" sound to grab their attention~
Their are lots of cow here too~
They are called "Sapi" here~
Well... Having lots of cows mean having lots of BULL SHIT!!!
There are Bull shit all around the road.
You really have to keep an eye on the way you are walking if you do not want to step into these Bombs~
And Of course the AROMA of the Bull shit indicates that you are in a VILLAGE!
Horses are available here too!!!
Wake up early in the morning just to see them~
but they are afraid of human so it was hard to take a closer picture of them..
They can simply pass through into others yard and eat grasses freely.
May be there is no thief in the village so the owners let their animals to move freely.
Not to forget the "Kampung" Chicken in the village~
Villagers of Kampung Rampaian Ulu are very friendly and warm~
They feel happy and welcome us here~
Really Thanks to Mak Cik who let us stay in her house and cook delicious meal for us~
This is a special village dish called Sayur Badak.
It is actually young banana that is cooked as vegetable!
Never thought of banana can be eaten or cooked this way..
But it was really delightful and yummy~
Fall in love with the dish and I ate alot of it during dinner~
While walking around the village, I snap quite a number of photo of the friendly villagers.
An old lady wearing their traditional hats.
Old man with his special coconut bicycle~
Kids that followed us everywhere~
seems like they are our Guardian. xp
Funny things happen when one of the boy's sandals fall into the mangrove swamp.
Everyone was pulling him up when he went down to pick up his sandals.
Another group of my course mate were doing survey with the villagers.
While i busy taking photo of the cute baby~ xp
Found this little bicycle in one of the villagers house.
Feel like riding on it but just afraid to broke it down~
Met some ladies who were fishing by the river~
After they get the fish, they will put into this basket.
Here are some random shots:
Notice Board of primary school of village
White shoe of kids in the village
Clothes hanging along the fences~
Some flower shots
Fishing net used to catch fishes and shrimps.
This is the mountain view on the way to Pantai Keramat.
To go there at first we ride a 4 wheel Hilux to go up the hill.
How ever, due to only 1 hilux available, the remaining 8 person have to sit at the bonnet...
8 people squeezing at the back trying to get a stable spot to sit and hold on while going uphill..
That's a painful yet fun experience~
Then we need to walk up and down the hill as the car couldn't go any further in.
After almost 40 minutes of walking finally we reach the Pantai Keramat.
It is a beautiful beach without anyone else there..
We own the Beach!!! Yeah!!
It's a beach where only the locals know bout it..
They will go there by motorcycle to fish and swim~
Didn't went to beach for quite some time~
So happy to step on the sandy white beach again~ ^^v
This breathtaking scene was spot while we were walking out from the beach~
We can see the other side of Kinabalu Mountain from here..
Admire the beauty of nature~
Celowet Photo of My Lecture~
He was teaching me how to take a celowet picture that time~
Villagers in Kampung Rampaian Ulu are all very friendly and kind.
Learn alot during this trip especially for a city kid like me~
The food here are all very delicious and "fresh" to me~
Village life is actually not bad at all~
Photography, the more I love photography the less I actually think about it. What is the essence of photography? It is related to how we consider photography and what photography is to us.
